Open throughout most of the year, although times do vary, this beautiful lighthouse was built in 1874, and serves as one of the centrepieces of the Calais skyline. It is a quite exhausting 274 step climb to reach the top of the lighthouse, but it is more than worth it when you arrive. A fantastic seascape and panorama of the city is revealed, allowing visitors to see for many miles in every direction, and on a clear day see the coast of England.
