Situated in the small Parc St. Pierre, opposite the Town Hall in central Calais, this museum is dedicated to the struggle that the people of Calais, and France, underwent in the Second World War. The exhibition is held in an actual war bunker that was built to defend the town during the war, and during the occupation by Nazi Germany was used as a command post for the army as they plotted how they would invade Britain by sea.
