This fine municipal building was actually built in 1925, although from the appearance of the structure, one would think it was much older. It has a vast seventy five metre high tower which overshadows much of the town centre, and is one of the first views visitors get of the town from sea. Outside the hall is a Rodin statue named the 6 Burghers. It is dedicated to the few brave men who defended the town from attack in the 14th Century.
