This beautiful public library is one of the largest in the city and certainly contains one of the finest collections of historic documents relating to the local area. The library is open to the public and is easy to access due to its proximity to the major St. Charles train station. Regularly the library hosts exhibitions relating to the written word, sometimes themed around authors and at other times focussed on the work of one particular author or famous academic.
