There are several museums in central Paris that are dedicated to the history of the country and the study of history in general. This museum is specialised on contemporary history, events that have happened in the last few hundred years. It is full of artefacts and documents, many of which are photographs, relating to the history of Paris, France and the events that have shaped both. As you might imagine, there is quite a lot of space dedicated to the World Wars and the impact they had on the French people.
