The Rodin Museum first opened its doors to the public in 1919, in the Hotel Biron and the surrounding grounds. The beautiful complex is one of the premier art facilities in central Paris and features an unparalleled collection of the works of world famous sculptor, Auguste Rodin. Rodin lived in the hotel from 1908 and subsequently gifted his own works, and a fine collection of paintings by other major artists, to the French state to build this museum.
