This church is a fairly modern addition to the city and is an interesting and exciting piece of modern architecture. The brainchild of the architect Mariel Lods, it is made of three separate concrete sections and rises high above the surrounding local buildings. The church was completed in the late 1950s and of course was subject to the same criticisms that many pieces of modern art are, but in time has been accepted as a part of the skyline by locals.
