There are fewer more pleasurable experiences in the city of Marseille than heading down to the old port area of Estaques and relaxing by the waterside. This centre allows visitors to hire rowing boats and take them out around the port and along the sheltered coast. It is possible to buy a pass for long periods of time that allows you to keep rowing throughout the summer, or it can be arranged to take boats out for much shorter periods.
