L’Estaque Beach is one of the finer sandy areas in Marseille, situated just outside of the main city centre. For generations local people and visitors have flocked to this area in both the summer and the winter months. In summer the beach is lined with people sunbathing and partaking in water sports whereas in winter it is the perfect place to go for a bracing walk, taking in some of the best views of the local area and dramatic seascape.
