The Museum of Public Assistance has been housed in the Hotel Marimion since 1934. The elegant building was built in the 17th Century, and has been one of the most beautiful riverside properties since that time. This museum is dedicated to the people that have toiled throughout the ages to help others less fortunate than themselves. The medical theme spans the centuries of hospitals that have evolved in the city, from medieval times, to the state of the art health care system that exists today.
