This wonderful old building is one of the treasures of the city of Paris, boasting one of the largest painted ceilings in any structure in the world. Once a traditional residence, the grand building has for many years been the home of the main historical library for the city. Within the collection are ancient manuscripts, texts and maps that help to bring together the story of Paris and the way it has developed into the modern age.
