Built in 1776 the magnificent Hôtel Henault de Cantobre was for many years one of the best in the city. However, it has now been converted into one of the best museums of European contemporary photography on the continent. The centre contains well over twelve thousand original pieces. Visitors are treated to displays that chart the history of the modern photography movement from the early 1960s to the present day.
