If you enjoy taking trips into history and aren’t in the slightest frightened of a very dark story, then this is probably a place you’d like to visit. This ancient hospital building was opened by Louis XV and served for many hundreds of years as a hospital for those with the most severe mental health problems in the city. The stories associated with what went on in a time when such disease was misunderstood are chilling. However, the structure itself is fascinating even if you dare not venture inside.
