The Foundation Cartier is housed in a magnificent glass and steel building which was designed by architect of the highest note Jean Nouvel. The building, which opened in 1984 has become home to one of the best collections of contemporary art in the country. Far more than just a museum, the centre is designed to help ad promote the work of emerging artists by giving them a platform and financial support to realise their potential in the wider art world.
