Well, if you don’t know what an apiary is either, that’s fine! It is extremely unusual to find a working apiary on public display in the centre of a city like this, so it is quite a rare treat to be able to see the bees at work. If you haven’t already guessed, an apiary is where bees produce honey, and this public facility produces a lot of it, so as well as seeing the bees busy at work, you can taste the honey and buy some to take home.
