The concept for this museum was derived from Dina Vierny, the former model for the sculptures of the world famous artist, Aristide Malliol. Quickly she began to collect together many examples of the artists work and before long, the gallery and museum was born. There are 18 sculptures by Maliol outside the museum, but within there are now paintings and sculptures by a vast array of artists from around the world including Duchamp and Rabin.
