The Chartrons Museum is the Bordeaux Museum of Wine, named after the Chartrons area of the city, where the wealthy wine merchants once all lived. The facility is housed in a beautiful 18th Century house and charts the history of the wine making industry in Bordeaux city, and the surrounding region. Probably the best known wine in the world, after Champagne, the story of this area is a fascinating one that visitors flock to all year round.
