The Place de la Bourse is probably the best known public square in the city of Bordeaux. It sits on the western bank of the River Garronne, and offers impressive views across the body of water, from the centre of the square. The area exhibits some of the best examples of the architecture of Bordeaux, much of which developed throughout the 18th Century. The square is dotted with statues and fountains and is a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by.
