Dating from 1860, this beautiful forest and parkland was completely hand planted by the people of the city, with the distinct intention of creating a lofted place of rest and relaxation close to the city. The area is one of the most popular with locals, and attracts a large tourist crowd during the summer months. The vast area of trees and greenery is home to a great variety of native Mediterranean species, making it a beautiful and interesting place to visit.
