Parc Borély is a vast area of public land on the edge of Marseille, close to the beach. It is one of the largest, and most beautiful, public parks in Marseille, and one of the few that allows cycling through it. Within the park is a botanical garden and a rose garden as well as a large boating lake, on which you can hire rowing boats in the summer months. There is a small chateau in the corner of the park, making it a quintessentially French scene that visitors flock to.
