This museum has a quite unusual collection as it focuses entirely on artworks from the African continent and Oceania and the South Pacific, in stark contrast to the usually European dominated galleries of central Paris. There are many hundreds of pieces of art on display, the majority of which are paintings that have been produced in a traditional way. However there are some fine sculptures made of mixed mediums that have been carved o perfection by amazingly talented artists.
