This museum is world famous and is certainly up there with the great museums of Paris. It is focussed entirely on a collection of art that has been collected from Asia, and represents the largest repository of art of this type anywhere in France. There are religious, secular and social painting and sculptures from across the Asian continent on display. The collection was put together in 1876 by Parisian collector and traveller Emile Guimet.
