Without a doubt, this area of gardens and parkland on the north-eastern perimeter of the Bois de Boulogne is one of the most beautiful and well loved in Paris. Originally the grounds of the great Chateau Bagatelle, these gardens are some of the best preserved and looked after formal gardens in the area. They are protected from the hustle and bustle of daily life by a large amount of mature trees which form a small wood around the edge.
