The Chapel of the Black Friars was built in the 14th Century and remains one of the finest examples of ancient ecclesiastical architecture in Limoux. The interior is noted because of the spectacular altar that is thought to have been added to the structure in the 17th Century. Around the outside of the building it is still possible to see many of the original walls of an Augustine convent that the building was constructed around.
