Msr. d’inguimbert was a great philanthropist and fan of the town of Carpentras, spending much of his life trying to improve the town’s position and change the normal people’s lives by exposing them to art and entertainment. This museum is mainly made up of the private collection of paintings that he compiled in order to entertain the local people. Although it lacks the depth of some of the major city art galleries, it is still a good collection for a town of this size.
