The beautiful old chateau is located on the end of the peninsular that overlooks the basin of the estuary and is in an ideal place to make the best of both the water views and those of the forest that lead off in the other direction up the hill. The chateau itself has been adapted and added to on many occasions over the last few centuries and now represents a fine example of a classical French castle, a country home with a fine set of gardens.
