The Marseille Culture Office was set up in the 1980s to provide a cultural backdrop for the almost overwhelming selection of things that can be seen and done in the city. An indispensable place to visit, for both locals and tourists, the office has all the latest information about what is going on in the city on a cultural level. It is the main place to buy tickets for galleries and events. It is housed in a beautiful building on the main street, off the Old Port.
