Situated in the northern suburb of Montmartre this vast cemetery is one of the most significant burial grounds in the city. For hundreds of years this has been one of the laces that Parisians have been laid to rest. The cemetery is beautifully landscaped and surrounded by mature trees and lined with floral walkways, making it a fascinating place to visit, even before you start to notice some of the famous names buried there.
