France has always had a long and illustrious connection with the sea, sailing the world and forming an empire. This museum is focussed on the adventures of the French navy since the 17th Century. It has exhibitions relating to the ongoing struggles that the French have had with the English as well as documentation and artefacts relating to conquests further a field. The museum is home to the largest collection of model ships in the world.
