One of the oldest and most established art galleries in Marseille, this museum of fine paintings is representative of the age and grandeur of the local art scene. Housed in a marvellous building, the collection is largely full of fine art pieces that date back through the history of Marseille and the nearby Provence region. It tells the story of the area through the artists and works that have been carefully selected and displayed, showing the great importance of art to the region.
