Valentin Hauy was a key figure in Paris in the 18th Century and early 19th Century. He was the founder of the first school for the blind in the city, and indeed anywhere in the world. Committed to helping people who had difficulties with their sight, this man made great leaps and bounds in the forwarding of the disabled rights and respect in the country with an effect that moved across the world. This museum looks into his life and works.
