This church was designed by the renowned architect Tom Berger, and constructed in 1680, dedicated originally to Saint Mary Magdalene in 1702. The building is one of the most impressive ecclesiastical structures in Marseille, and has a mixture of mock heroic and more traditional French church styles. The building was extensively damaged during the fighting in the French Revolution, but has been well restored, becoming a parish in 1803.
