Le Corbusier is without a doubt one of the best known architects in the whole of French history, it is quite appropriate that this museum which celebrates his life and work is housed in one of the grand structures that he himself had been responsible for in the 1920s. Anxious that none of his work be wasted, Le Corbusier in fact collected together most of the work for the foundation so that it would be ready for display after his death.
