This beautiful round edifice was built in the 18th Century and is one of the most recognisable buildings at the heart of the city of Paris. It was the home of the French commodities exchange and has a long and fascinating history. The building was modified in the early 19th Century, the changes which you can clearly see on observing the exterior of the structure. Legend has it that one of the previous structures of this building was lost by King Louis XII to his chamberlain in a game of cribbage.
