This is the largest church in Nice, and is one of the symbols of the old town area of the city, an iconic structure. Unlike most of the churches in this area of the city, which have been heavily influenced by the Italian baroque style of architecture, this structure is a completely gothic affair. Although it appears old, the church was only built in 1848 by the well known designer, C. Lenormand. The church is at the heart of one of the city’s main thoroughfares.
