The Prefecture Building is one of the best looking and most recognisable buildings in this area of the city. A grand example of municipal architecture at its very best, the large stone facades of the building offer all of the grandeur and elegance that one would expect from such a structure. Although he building is primarily a place of administration, there are times when exhibitions of local history take place in the foyer and entrance hall.
