This brilliant collection of documents is housed in a wonderful 17th Century building which is well worth visiting in its own right to enjoy the architecture. In the building are the records of the city that date back to the 13th Century. There are many extremely good looking documents which are on display and help to put together the history of the city and the way that it has changed in population and ethnic profile over the centuries.
