This impressive city art gallery has a large collection of paintings that have been collected from a period of about five hundred years. The main focus of the exhibitions which are housed in a series of grand rooms, are to show the change and styles of the French and major European artists from the 15th Century to today. Here are pieces by some of the continent’s most influential painters on display as well as the occasional visiting exhibition of artworks from across the globe.
