Situated in the heart of Frejus, it is no wonder this is such a fine collection of archaeology because the museum is built on top of a Roman town. The majority of the works within the museum have been excavated from the local area and surrounding regions. The massive collection includes a marble bust of Hermes, several other statues and a wealth of implements that have been discovered within houses and places of business in the Roman town.
