A brilliant example of a traditional French square and a place that has a great deal of history, this square was laid out by King Louis XII and marks one of the foundation stones in the blueprint of modern Paris. Surrounded by some of the most historic and important buildings in the city, luminaries such as Victor Hugo have always flocked to this place throughout history because of its beauty and architectural charms. At the centre is a green where you can sit and soak up the atmosphere.
