There aren’t great deals of high-rise buildings in Paris, but the Tour Montparnasse is certainly an exception to that rule, standing at over two hundred metres high. Mainly offices within, the tower is open to the public, and has a viewing gallery at the top which can be accessed via the fastest lift in Europe, propelling visitors to the top in just 38 seconds. There is a restaurant and bar on the 56th floor which gives tourists and locals a chance to enjoy unparalleled views of the city whilst they dine.
