This beautiful 19th Century building serves as Paris City Hall, and is one of the central focuses of community life in the city. As well as being a beautiful architectural monument, the building is still a working administrative centre for the government of the city. Within the building are several large collections on the city history, and throughout the year the building hosts numerous special events, including Christmas ice skating.
