This gallery was founded by Claude Bernard, who continues to oversee the fine collection on the appropriately named Street of Fine Arts. When it was first opened in the late 1950s there was a large bias towards works of sculpture. As time has gone on there have been more and more contemporary works allowed into the collection that are based on canvas and print. Today, the photographic collection is one of the best in the area.
