The original theatre and opera house was built in 1860 over a period of two years and had seating for three thousand people. On the site of a an ancient castle, the theatre has been extensively remodelled throughout the years and now seats just over two and a half thousand visitors. The beautiful building plays host to a great deal of performances of musical theatre and opera every year in the heart of Paris.
