If you want to achieve the finest possible views of the town of Lourdes then the best place to go is to the summit of the almost one thousand metre high Pic du Jer. The easiest and fastest way to travel to the top is by the small funicular railway that runs from the town and takes around six minutes. Along the journey you will see some parts of the town and the surrounding countryside that are not accessible from any other place.
