This beautiful church was begun building in 1170, and has been added to on many occasions in the centuries that have followed that. The church is the home facility of the Bishop of Lyon, and therefore is one of the most important in the city. Situated relatively close to the river, the church is a beautiful example of the types of ecclesiastical architecture that have been used in Lyon over the years. It is open too the public the year round.
