This fine church building has for many centuries been home to the Dominican order of Colmar. As with a great deal of churches and monasteries that are dedicated to an order this place has been beautifully decorated, protected by the resident monks. The world famous painting ‘The Virgin in the Rose Bush’ by Martin Schongauer is on display inside the building. This is one of several artistic treasures that can be admired in the light given off by the fine quality 15th Century stained glass.
